Can we please get some black back in the uniforms? Our school colors are BLACK and gold, not white and gold. Gold jerseys are fine, but how about some black helmets?

Yeah totally! Though I like the new unis, it'd be alot nicer looking if they threw in some black in there.
The thing I hate the most….Why do they not have their last names in the back of the jerseys? I hate that…

I can deal with that. A lot of coaches don't put the names on the back because they want the TEAM to be the focus. But we have school colors. The uniforms should be the school colors. We do a BLACK and GOLD cheer, not a WHITE and Gold cheer for a reason.

The uniforms are terrible…the colors, the new logo, all of it. New flashy designs and uni's are cool for the NFL…college football is about traditions.

1) We need black in the uniforms. As has been mentioned we have the colors BLACK and Gold, not Gold and WHITE.
Anyone who went to the game against UAB where their uniforms were the same colors as ours, just reversed, would have loved to have seen some black so we could know who the hell was who.
Remember the good old days of alternate uniforms?
2) We need the names on the back of the jerseys again. Sorry…#$@ the whole “this is one team” idea. I want to know the name of the guy who is not able to throw the ball, catch the ball, make a tackle, whatever. I don't want to have to remember from week to week that so and so is number 12 or what not, it's annoying for fans.

I was a bit busy in the sand box at the time, but what was the reasoning behind all the change? I dug the fact that we were the Golden Knights. The Golden Knights (the US Army free fall team) would usually jump into a home game each season. It set us aside from Rutgers and West Point. As for the uniforms, if I hear that excuse that “black uniforms are hotter for the players,” I'm going to flip. I wore 100 pounds of gear in 140 degree heat. Let me tell you, the color of my uniform wouldn't have made the least bit of difference. Hot, is hot. Bring back the black!

The reason we don't wear the black is because the players believe that those jerseys are jinxed. I believe the last two times they were worn that we lost. I know the last time UCF wore them it was a tuesday night game against So. Miss and we lost. It was also on national tv (ESPN) in 2006 the off year of no bowl game.

I don't buy that the players think it's bad luck. It seemed to work out well when Dante wore black at UCF. If you really look at it, we've lost a LOT more games than just 2 in the gold uniforms… which are hideous. For those who play NCAA 09, they put a black alternate uniform for UCF, and it doesn't look bad at all.
