This is a web site dedicated to the removal of George O’Leary as head football coach of the University of Central Florida. If you agree that UCF can do better, and it is time to take action, then we urge you to tell your friends about this site. We will email whoever we have to as many times as we have to until we get someone’s attention that is in a position to do something about it. Our voices will be heard. Feel free to comment on here but please limit your comments to Coach’s job and not him personally.  Thank you.

Bad recruiting, is now being shown as bad play on the field.

Bomarding a person’s inbox with email messages won’t be very effective, he/she can just hit the delete button.

I would imagine that if the people in charge read a few and ten see that they are getting bombarded, they’ll get the message. They’ll also get the hint when they can’t sell season tickets next year.

May I suggest that you setup a digital petition and get as many “signatures” as possible. Once we get to 5,000+ (which shouldn’t be too hard given the current state of the program) you can then email that to the heads of the UCF Athletics department, President Hitt and more importantly, prominant donars to the program. Just a suggestion, but this may be a more effective way…

That’s not a bad idea ConcernedFan. I did a quick Google search and found:

    http://www.petitiononline.com/create_petition.html

    Any other ideas for this?

    ConcernedFan Says:

That site looks good. I’m not sure what else is out there but this one looks as good as any. The idea here would be to get enough signatures to really show the Athletic department and the major donors just how fed up we all are (since they don’t seem to know or care). Not to mention, if that still isn’t enough to get the ball rolling, you might have something more “concrete” to take to the major media networks and try to get national attention drawn to the unrest going on in the fan base.

    Just some rambling thoughts…

I agree that there is just too many bad things going on under his coaching and training techniques. Lets get him out, before he causes another death. FIRE GEORGE O’ LEARY!!!!!!!!!

    Catgirl Says:

I hope UCF gets rid of him. I graduated from UCF but refuse to attend football games while he is the coach.

I heard that he was the reason that prospective employers actually check academic credentials on resumes now instead of taking someone’s word that they earned a specific degree, all because he lied on his resume when he was hired by Notre Dame. My sister-in-law used to work for Georgia Tech and had a great job there until O’Leary came in and got rid of everyone that had been working there to bring in his own people. Then of course he tried to leave for greener pastures but got caught lying about his previous football experience and that he had a Master’s degree.

And now something fishy seems to be going on at UCF with the football program there. I think UCF could do better and find a coach with some INTEGRITY.

    Julio Says:

I don’t think I heard so much grumbling when we were being invited to bowl games and playing for C-USA championships.

UCF fans have shown themselves to be a fickle group. Remember, O’Leary is a major reason we have the stadium, because his coaching and presence helps instill faith in our program.

While there must be expressed concern over the health of our players, we cannot negate the positives O’Leary bringsto the program. Mainly his commitment to academic excellence.

If we lose that, we’re no better than scumbag schools like USF or that corrections facility known as the University of Miami football.

    Just my two cents.

    UCF Fan Says:

Thank you for creating this site. O’Leary is terrible and needs to go.

The truth is, I don’t think you should stop at O’Leary. You should also call for Tribble’s resignation and Hitt’s resignation.

Hitt agreed to signing a 10 year deal without a reasonable buy out clause.

Tribble hasn’t publically called for O’Leary’s resignation so he should go as well.

    Mike Says:

    Julio,

All fans are fickle. Pick any team in the country right now: Oklahoma, Florida, Texas. If they had a couple really bad seasons in a row, you’d better believe there’d be a movement to fire their coach.

We’re football fans. We want our team to win. When our team doesn’t win, we want things to change until it does win. That’s all this is about.

Just visited your site today. For what its worth, your blog is passionate and dare I say it, classy.
I too am wondering about why since I went to UCF (back in the Kruz days) the Knights seem content with being mediocre. I didn’t think much about O Leary lying on his resume and I believe that he deserved another chance coaching after that. I can think of just one really breakthrough season…the rest of them under O Leary’s direction have been downright depressing in the land of Florida Football. A 10 year contract was the most reckless thing for UCF to do with any coach–bottom line.

    bryan Says:

Hitt, the Athletic Director, and anyone else included in the hiring of O’Leary should be chastised for thier decision. Everyone forgets this guy is a LIAR and had no business being brought onboard in the first place. Who hires a guy who was just let go for falsifying a resume? Bottom feeders maybe? We got Notre Dame’s discarded junk. In the state of Florida with two of the major players having horrendous seasons year after year (FSU, Miami) what better time to bust into the upper echelon of college football. Oh yeah, USF beat us to the top 25. The potential is right here, right now to make a nationally recognized program come to fruition and we’re sitting on our hands. I could write a book about this. Done for now.

    UCF Says:

This website is cancer to UCF.

By bringing your opinion to the masses you are only showing that the UCF family appears to have cracks. The reality is that inside the program the optimism is high and Coach OLeary is doing as good a job as anyone.

If you think otherwise then fine….just email your buddies and whoever you feel wants to listen at UCF…just take down this self serving website.

  15. 15
    FCOadmin Says:

Look everyone UCF himself doesn’t like our site. Why? Because it’s self serving? Has anyone seen me on Letterman? Leno? ESPN? Channel 13? If you passed me on the street would you ask for my autograph? Would you even know if you did? How is this self serving when nobody on here even knows who I am? You know who I’m serving? I’m serving the fans ans students of UCF who feel like this program ought to be doing more than finishing DEAD FREAKING LAST in FBS in total offense FIVE YEARS into this clown’s tenure. That’s who I’m serving. I know in the bowels of elitism known as academia you have absolutely ZERO concept of what it is like to run a business so let me clue you in on how it works. In business the object of the game is to get people to open up their wallets and give you their hard earned money. To do this you must give people a REASON to want to do this. If your plan is to do this by selling them tickets to go watch your football team then it behooves you to put out a good product. People will be much more receptive to handing over money to watch GOOD football. You cannot just run a bunch of stiffs out there every other year in gold shirts and expect just because we have diplomas with “UCF” stamped on them, we will blindly hand over our money and give up our Saturdays and be happy watching us get shut out by UAB. But you people sure aren’t shy about calling us up wanting us to buy tickets. Oh by the way, at last count my “buddies” on this site numbered over 4000. Hmm. Wonder how many it will be the first time we get shut out by a MAC team?

    LOLing Says:

I’m LOLing really hard at Julio’s year-old comment about O’Leary’s “commitment to academic excellence.”

Right, he’s so committed to keeping his players at bare minimum requirements to remain in school to play. Players he regularly refers to as “dummies”. We have a luncheon with this classy guy and he had zero shame in referring to his own players as mindless “dummies”.

God I can’t wait until this asshole gets the boot. He has zero respect for his players.

    steve c Says:

yeah ummm ucf cant fire oleary the ahole has like 6 on his contract and a buyout clause so if ucf fired him they would have to shell out like 12+ million or something stupid. so this all is kinda pointless….

  18. 18
    FCOadmin Says:

Wow Steve. Hadn’t heard that one before. So I guess that’s it then. Just close up shop. George has a buyout. Yeah, NO school has ever realized their mistake and bought out their coach. It’s unheard of. REAL football schools do it all the time. So I guess we have a decision to make. Are we a REAL football school. Or are we just a school with a football team?

    EYERACE Says:

O’Who should fire Tim Salem first…..then as the Plancher lawsuit moves on, resign.

    EYERACE Says:

Many Division 1 schools have all their teams recruiting under the banner of “We’re a Div. 1 school – you know – a big deal Div. 1 school”….but all the while knowing there are better Div. 2 and 3 programs out there. The Div. 1 school is content in their merely average to sub-par quality. We can’t let that happen here. Go back and look…..we’ve been getting better and bigger over the years but ever since “phone-gate” and Gene McDowell resigned this program has been mired in mud. Sure Coach K got us into the MAC but also got us things like the Moffett years and set us up for a totally defeated season which happened under O’Who….who took no blame for it…….I guess that meant he can’t coach his way out of a tough spot…in a way he did with the ensuing C-USA Championship…but he sure has proved that he’s done a lousy head coaching job in subsequent years. What?…..he let them run an option to the short side of the field on the two in the Miami game without having a clue what was being called?…. and then has the nerve to say he wished he had the call back?…..a head coach on top of his game would have called a time out and changed the play! A few games ago, in the first quarter, when UCF was on something like the other team’s 10 yard line with a 4th and 1, O’Who let them kick it. What???!!! Is O’Who saying his team can’t make 1 yard!!!!! Lousy decision making…..one example of many.

  21. 21
    KnightsOut Says:

Seriously O’Leary has accomplished nothing. We have had some serious talent on the team that goes untapped because of his inabilities to coach and see what we really have on this team.

    J. Langdon Says:

Watching the Rutgers game now……DB tripped and let receiver get behind him…TD. Watched UCF crossing reciever being held by #45 drom Rutgers resulting in an interception and RU td, O’leary’s fault? Not hardly. Have any of you self absorbed commentaors ever coaced or worked in a high level program? Wake up! UCF football was unheard of nationally before O arrived. The guy knows football and has since he was a high school coach in NY state.

  23. 23
    CALIUCFFAN Says:

Why are we so bad? O’leary can’t motivate anyone and has a offense that has the excitement of a thanksgiving with my grandparents. Here is the deal….exciting offense and good defense wins games. We are in Florida. Home of all the talent in the football world. If we get rid of O’leary we will be taking the first step in being a national power like we should be. Last time I checked we have the best facilities, a brand new stadium, and a fan base that wants to be the best. I rest my case….please get rid of this guy.

  24. 24
    FCOadmin Says:

Langdon must be a relative of O’Leary’s. Tell me o wise one…WHAT IN THE HELL WERE WE DOING THROWING THE BALL FROM OUR OWN 10 WITH A MINUTE BEFORE HALFTIME!! THAT IS THE COACH!!

  25. 25
    Wild Turkey Says:

Stupid plays, no emotion. We got schooled by a team that on paper we were statistically vastly superior too. Rutgers fans told me before the game that they felt they had “no chance to win”. Well, they had never experience George O’Leary football!

George = big name, big contract, far too few results for our investment.

I was actually considering manufacturing George O’Leary urinal cakes… any potential investors?
