yes,
the coach can make the difference.
I disagree with your assessment on firing the coach, but with a condition. I mean that you still can fire the coach without any harm from anyone including possible recruits if you replace the coach with a big upcoming talent coach. like Florida did with Urben Myer.
I guess we could take cue and go with Strong, but you have to be sure you are getting the next big coach that will take you the next level.

I think we should thank oleary but should move on, I dont feel he can take it up a notch. However we would have to find and grab the next great coach and have to compete with schools like ND.

And had he been paying attention in the Samford game at who was QBing when all the points were scored, an started that guy against USM, we might have gotten at least one of those games. Whick right now would have us in the driver’s seat. Sometimes the right coach is the difference between a good season and a great season.

yeah i think this kinda puts a wrench in the gears as far as o’leary goes…

unfortunately he will be around next year for sure now… its kinda like a win/lose situation

we ended up having a decent season, but we were some 8 or 9 points away from a 2 loss CUSA title season

Without a doubt. But don’t worry. If next year continues the “every other year” pattern, we will still be here to turn up the heat on his seat. But we can’t fire him right now and we shouldn’t. He just won the first game in school history against a ranked opponent. How would that look to potential replacements? But remember, had he been playing the right QB in Week 2, we might still be in the running for the C-USA East.
