AD has got to shoulder some of the blame here… why did he think there was any chance G. O. was going to bolt just because he won C-USA? Seems like he kinda jumped the gun with this last contract.

We need a good young/hungry coach who is attractive to young players who can recruit in our backyard!

To your question…The AD during the 90′s (Sloan if I remember) was offered a spot in a new conference called C-USA, he refussed saying we would be indy or Big East or ACC or SEC. That left a spot filled by another FL school that was even D-1 yet. then we went 9-2 and got no bowl and realized we needed a conference. C-USA was full so we went to the MAC. Then left the MAC for C-USA while other teams moved on. We could have been in C-USA with #8 when it first started. I would bet we would have several C-USA championships when the Big East came calling…whole new history. I think the cellphone thing was brought on by Leavitt. When do they get sanctions?
