It’s Gameday people

By FCOadmin. Posted in General | 6 Comments »

Are you excited? I know we’re only 2-2, but I still get pu,ped for gameday. Especially for home games. And now that October is here and it’s not so hot, it’s even better. Think how great it would be if we had a conference championship to still play for. Oh well. We can still tailgate.

The Culture at our Palace(UCF) must change I am so sick and tired of walking around our Kingdom (campus) and seeing undergrads with shirt and other paraphanilia walking around our courtyard (around the student union) I love UCF it my school whether we ar 13-0 or 0-11 there is no need for me to get exciteed about my school. How ever thats me thats not everyone. We have people in power from other institution there loyalty is to those for stated instutions. So its up to us to demand respect. Want more demand more. Stand up and be heard. If you want O’leary up out of here, i pose this question: what are you prepared to do. Talking is fine, but take action. I make you this challenge if we have a dismal season the saturday of our last game…meet me in front of the student union, and march with me to the AD’s office and demand that O’leary be fired. If we want him up out over lets do it and do it together. Lets stop being apethitic and show the country we will no longer accept mediocritie and we will no longer be the school that people settle on. and for all you people that feel you settled at UCF and your heart belongs to another school…Drop out and go else were, dont disrepectmy school. if you want be elsewhere…on behalf of other true knight get the hell out of here. Go Knights.

Do you proofread before hit the send button? I’m guessing you don’t like the Gator and other school’s shirts around campus? Well there is only one thing you can do about that. Win. People want to associate with a winner. They just do. It’s why when you win, the stands are full, and when you don’t, plenty of elbow room. And you plan for the last game of the season is a good one. But, what happens if we go 7-5 and get a bid to the St. Pete Bowl. Does that constitute a lousy season? Some might consider it a pretty good one. What happens if we do the unthinkable and beat Houston? And ECU and USM both tank and we end up at the C-USA title game? And then true to form, next year we go 4-8 again? And we get all fired up and the site blows up to 50,000 people and true to form, O’Leary pulls another winning season out of his hat? Do we then calm down again?

Well no need to be in a hurry. We aren’t going anywhere. If you are going to blindly support UCF no matter what, while admirable, at least do it somewhat coherently. At least make it LOOK like UCF doesn’t accept just anybody and that it only accepts people who can string a couple of sentences together. If you want to blindly support UCF no matter what, that’s ok. You will end up being one of those people who’s kid is on the news for committing a crime and you’ll be the one standing there proclaiming his innocence even after he’s telling the cops where the body is. Just for the record, I AM doing something. What are you doing? I support my team. That’s why I want them to be as successful as possible. And I was not an English Major. But I can type in English.

First of all i do not like Coach O’leary. If you had a petition to get him fired I’d sign it(Probably First). If you wanted to protest to get him fired, I would march right there with you. All I’m saying is knight nation needs to stop talking, and stand up and be a nation; demand more by action, passion and love for the school. The culture at UCF is “the school that students settle for.” Let’s change the Culture first, and Athletics will fall into place. Second. It’s real grown up of you to attack my unborn children. Although you’re probably right if my children were provoked they’d take action and kick @$$(which may cause them to get arrested; and you darn right i would be in their corner, they are my kids), while yours, would probably sit, pout, cry, and blog about it. That’s ok though my kids will have your kids back because they will respect the nation(Knight Nation). Juat like I got your back because you are my family through the nation(Knight Nation). My beef is not with you it hurts me probably more than you that we are the worst BCS team in the state and almost in the nation considering I’m going into sports law(and hope one day to be the AD here). I’m with you bro O’leary has to go. But How long has this site been Up? Did he get fired yet? So talking about him getting fired isn’t enough. Is that more clear and typed in english well enough for you for Child Psychology and Criminal Justice Major?

I’m so sorry I haven’t been able to get the bad man fired fast enough to suit you. My apologies. I didn’t see you get him fired either. And guess again on my major. You’re still wrong. Congrats though on being a bit more coherent. And oh by the way, we’re not a BCS school. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go spend all that money I made from all those fireoleary t-shirts and hats you bought. Man of action like yourself, I’m sure you have one for every day of the week.

The point is not everyone at school is going to feel like you do until we win. Students don’t feel like the school is doing whatever it takes to win, they aren’t going to be that enthused. But if the school gets off it’s ass and does it’s part, the loyalty will follow. But planning a march on the last home game is stupid. What if we win? What if we’re 8-4? Rome wasn’t built in a day. It won’t come down in a day. Every time we lose, I get three times more people on here than when we win. We win a game and all of a sudden all is forgotten. The only way you change that culture is win. And win consistently.
