I got one way off the radar, what about reggie herring. he is the linebakers coach for dallas. he played linebacker at florida state and played high school football on florida's space coast. He was also the Def. Cord. for Arkansas. I say him becauce like Strong he could come in a build a stout defense. On top that mabye he could entice odell hagan (FSU d line coach) to be on his staff. Hagan could tap in the recruiting base that FSU and UF and the U recruit from. On the offense side maybe the running back coach from the miami dolpins? Brynn Harvey in the wildcat? just a thought.

Charlie Strong is a good choice. Let me throw out another name that is way off the radar - Tim Murphy. Mr. Murphy is the head coach at Harvard. Harvard you say? Well one way to find a head coach is to see who's winning where they're not supposed to. Tim Murphy has led Harvard to their most propsperous times since the early part of the century. The Crimson were the bottom feeders of the Ivy league before coach Murphy got there. Now they are the Ivy League's super power - and not just for a single year. Coach Murphy has also turned around losing football programs at Maine and Cincinatti. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Murphy_(football_coach) I think Coach Murphy would love a chance to move up to Divison 1A and see if he can make UCF a top 25 program. I am not a Harvard alum and have never had contact with anyone affiliated with the Harvard Athletic department. I know of Coach Murphy because when GT fired Chan Gailey his name supposidly made the short list.
